About
Ramuel Galarza is a Puerto Rican filmmaker and photographer living in New York City. He grew up in Gainesville, Florida, surrounded by medical schools, senior homes and swamps. At eight, he started filming skits with his sisters on the family camcorder. He watched the behind-the-scenes extras on every DVD he could find, to learn how films are made. Later he studied film at Florida State University.
He writes, directs and produces films. He also shoots portraits and fine-art photos. His work has screened at festivals and won awards for directing, screenwriting and acting, as well as an Audience Choice Award. His latest film, She’s Fine, is a horror comedy short about a vet tech and her possessive new roommate.
